Celtic Springs Business Park has received a major boost with news that it has retained important support funding.
The 45 acre, £100m Business Park, at Junction 28, M4, which is already home to the HM Prison Service and Wales & West Utilities, has retained its crucial competitive edge.
Developers of the park, AWG and Broadhall, are celebrating after Tier Two granted assisted areas status support for the business park was renewed.
The European support aims to encourage investment and jobs growth in key areas.
Celtic Springs says the grant assistance acts as a powerful magnet to prospective occupiers as it means that qualifiers can access up to £6,000 for every new job they create at the business park.
Speaking on behalf of AWG and Broadhall, Iain Logue, Operations Director of AWG Property, said: “Tier Two funding is just one of the many powerful tools that we possess which help us to attract occupiers to Celtic Springs, the other attractions are its excellent location and communication links and on site facilities such as the five star Ramada Plaza hotel which is being built.
“Celtic Springs Business Park is rapidly gaining a reputation as being among the very best ’addresses’ for business in the country.”
Work has started on a speculative three storey, six winged, 35,000 sq ft office building, with work due for completion by the Autumn of 2007.
Matthew Phillips, Managing Partner of Knight Frank, said: “One of the key targets for Celtic Springs Business Park is to attract potential inward investors.
“Many of these will only consider grant assisted areas so it is definitely an advantage. It really does give the park a competitive edge.
“Wales & West, which has built its headquarters at Celtic Springs Business Park, would not have considered Celtic Springs as a location if it had not been in an assisted area.”
